What: The RBLI offers a wide range of vocational courses designed to help you make a start in different industries, improve your qualifications or even just get ready for employment.  Click on the links for more information: Construction, Customer Service, Warehousing and Storage, Retail, Health and Social Care, Employability Level 1, Gateway to Employment, IT for beginners, IT Level 1 and Functional Skills.

Prince’s Trust: Enterprise

Who: 18 - 30 year olds.

When: 20th - 23rd January 2020

Where: Chatham 

What: Got a business in mind or want to explore an idea?  Our free Enterprise programme is taking place in Chatham this January for people aged between 18-30! Opportunity to attend an information session. Free 4 day Explore Enterprise course including HMRC, selling, marketing and bookkeeping. Free travel. 1:1 access to an experienced business mentor to help develop your business plan for up to 3 years. Opportunity to apply for a start up loan!

Dover Technical College Pre-Access Course

Who: Learners aged 16+ who have a Level 1 or vocational Level 2 qualification and some GCSEs at grade D.

When: Jan/Feb 2020

Where: Dover Technical College, Maison Dieu Road, Dover, CT16 1DH

What: Dover Technical College is offering an intensive one-year course for students wanting to improve their academic skills, including English and Maths, to progress to a Level 3 Study Programme. One day per week will focus on GCSE maths and English so that all students have the opportunity and support to achieve these essential qualifications. Specialist tutors will deliver and interesting and inclusive curriculum that prepares students for the GCSE exams at the end of the year.

CSCS Green Card Course (Canterbury)

Who: For people aged 19+ and in receipt of benefits

When: January 6th - January 10th 

Where: Abode, 30-33 Canterbury High Street

What: Running over 5 half days 9.30 - 3.30 Mon - Fri. CSCS Green Card will be awarded upon completion. Level 1 award in health and safety in construction (required for the CSCS Green Card). Level 2 certificate in the Principles of Warehousing and a £30 Amazon voucher on achievement towards the cost of personal protective equipment. Valid ID must be shown on the day (Driving License/Passport)

How to apply: To simply call Georgia our booking adviser on 01273 980244 (main booking line) who will check eligibility, highlight what the course involves and book - this takes 2 - 3 min and customers receive reminder texts to drive up attendance.

CSCS Green Card Course (Croydon)

Who: For people aged 16 - 24 not in education or employment OR receiving JSA or Universal Credit

When: Various dates

Where: Croydon

What: To work in construction you’ll need a CSCS card. Our 5 (short days) programme includes 5 year CSCS ‘Green’ Card, L1 Award in Health & Safety, Warehousing Course and a £30 Amazon Voucher On Achievement.

Who: For people aged 19+ receiving JSA, ESA or Universal Credit.

When: Starting January 6th. 

Where: Maidstone

Canterbury College Level 2 Carpentry Course

Who: 19+ currently not in education/training. Those receiving benefits.

When: Starting 09/01/20

Where: Canterbury College, Whitstable Road, Canterbury, CT2 9DT

What: Canterbury College are offering a free college course in Carpentry, upon completion you will receive a Level 2 Diploma in Carpentry. The course is 5 hours per week, for 12 weeks.
